If you have accumulated any sort of tool belt, then you likely have Pro-Q 2 handy as one of your first options. I’ve been a customer of theirs for many years and can’t remember a single bug-fix update, let alone an update to work with a new operating system. This makes for easy decisions for loyal customers, and it allows FabFilter to focus on making fewer products and making them extremely good. They do one limiter and do it incredibly well. They don’t do multiple EQs, they do one EQ and do it incredibly well. One last thing, FabFilter only does one plug of a type. Know one well and you are already on your way to learning any of the others. Certainly their EQ, Compressor, Multiband Compressor, Limiter, Gate, and De-esser, all feel like they belong to a close-knit family so far as the sense of how they work is concerned. Becoming familiar with one makes you feel at home with all the others to varying degrees. Such loyalty discounts are always there and are combined with any special promotions automatically so long as you are logged into your account.Īnother thing FabFilter does is have an interface style that feels familiar between their 14 plugs. Each successive purchase is cheaper until you ultimately reach 55% off. There is no difference between buying five of their plugs all at once or buying five one at a time over a period of time.
